Chase devalues Ultimate Rewards, legacy points grandfathered
On October 26, 2025, Chase devalued Ultimate Rewards by removing the 1.25 cents per point fixed redemption for new points while grandfathering older balances. Cardholders can preserve legacy value by spending from non-legacy accounts first, since redemptions now use first-in-first-out stacking.
